All our hospices provide the highest possible quality care, supporting local people, their families and friends, whose lives are affected by cancer or a life threatening illness. Free of charge, specialist nursing services are available at our day hospices and in-patient units, as well as at home.

2009 Review

How the money recieved from our supporters is spent.

2009 was a very successful year for The Hospice Lottery Partnership. Through the support of our valued and loyal members, we distributed £455,000, to our partner hospices. 

Each hospice received £65,000 – This is how they spend the money received:
 
Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity: Helps pay the running costs of the Children’s Hospice at Home team.
Grove House: Funds the annual salaries of three specialist day hospice nurses who care for up to 64 patients a week.
Iain Rennie Hospice at Home: Helps pay the annual salaries of one senior nurse and one support nurse.
Michael Sobell House: Helps keep our day therapies unit open for an extra day each week.
South Bucks Hospice: Supports the annual salaries of a nurse manager and specialist staff nurse.
Thames Hospicecare: Pays forover 4000 hours of specialist hospice nursing care for local families.
The Hospice of St Francis: Helps fund a bed on the inpatients unit for a year.
