But Jean isn’t just a loyal player, she’s also an incredible person. She volunteers at The Hospice of St Francis, a place close to her heart. She originally worked in the kitchen, but after breaking her arm, she found a new way to help, greeting patients, friends, and families with her warm smile and soothing presence.
Her passion for hospice care runs deep. Having seen first-hand the compassionate care her mother received in her final days; Jean has dedicated herself to giving back however she can.
And what makes this win even sweeter? She’s using her prize money to support her granddaughter, a dedicated human rights professional currently studying for her master’s in human Rights Law. “I really just wanted to give her some help as she works towards her goals,” Jean shared.
