This week we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of our first draw on 8 May 1998. Thanks to your continued support, over the past quarter-century, over £16 million has been raised for our partner charities, which provide care for people in their community when they need it most.
The Hospice Lottery was founded in 1997 as a shared vision between Rennie Grove Hospice Care (formerly Iain Rennie Hospice at Home), Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, and South Bucks Hospice. Through weekly draws, the lottery provided a fun and easy way for supporters to contribute to local charities while having a chance to win prizes up to £10,000.
Forward to 2023 and we have grown from strength to strength with the addition of further partners including The Hospice of St Francis in 2003, Michael Sobell House in 2005, Harlington Hospice in 2019, Raise: West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust Charity in 2020 and East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity in 2021.
Your incredible generosity and commitment continue to make a positive impact in the lives of so many people. We hope that you have enjoyed being part of The Hospice Lottery in the last 25 years and will continue to be with us for many more years to come.
Thank you for being a part of The Hospice Lottery!
