Mrs Moody, from High Wycombe, has been a regular supporter of The Hospice Lottery for 18 years and was delighted hear that she had won £2,000 in the recent Summer Superdraw.
Mrs Moody said: “I never win anything, so it came as a real surprise to hear that I had won.”
Mrs Moody knows all too well about the wonderful care that hospices provide, having a few friends who have recently received their support. She said: “No one knows what’s round the corner, anyone can find themselves in the need of hospice care, and I wanted to do my bit to help, playing in The Hospice Lottery seemed a great way to do it.”
When asked how she would be spending her winnings, Mrs Moody said: “There is always something going wrong, so this will help me to get a few things fixed, such as replacing my cracked patio windows and some car repairs.”
