Our team attended the Tring Festival of Fire as one of the headline sponsors, joining over 5,000 members of the community for an evening of bonfires and fireworks. It was wonderful to meet so many people, including a few familiar supporters who already take part in our lottery.
We are pleased to announce the event raised over £1,170 through ticket sales and donations. We were especially moved by the generosity of the £150 Prize Draw winner, a volunteer from the cricket club, who chose to donate their prize back to The Hospice Lottery. It was a lovely reminder of the kindness and community spirit shown by our supporters.
When we spoke to the winner, he explained – “I was absolutely delighted to win the £150 Hospice Lottery prize at the Festival of Fire. As a volunteer at The Tring Park Cricket club, I decided to donate the prize money back; we work closely with The Hospice Lottery and know that the finds that they raise for the Hospices in our community are so important” All funds raised will go directly to our partner charities, helping them provide vital care for local patients and families.
