We’re thrilled to announce that Alan Williams, one of our dedicated players, is the lucky recipient of our weekly £1,000 top prize! Alan has been playing The Hospice Lottery since early 2010, even adding a second number in 2023 to increase his chances of winning. His commitment to supporting local hospice care is deeply personal and rooted in his own experiences.
Alan’s wife sadly passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, but during that difficult time, she received incredible care and support from their local hospice. Alan has always appreciated the importance of hospice care, and by playing The Hospice Lottery, he feels he’s able to give something back to the services that made such a difference in their lives during such a difficult time.
When our Marketing & Communications Executive reached out to congratulate Alan and arrange a visit, he was more than happy to oblige. With a chuckle, he said, “For a thousand pounds, you can come round anytime!”
Alan plans to use his winnings to spruce up his back garden. Gardening has always been a passion of his, and now, with this unexpected windfall, he’s looking forward to creating an even more beautiful and relaxing space to enjoy.
