The winner of the top prize in our Summer Superdraw, Mrs Champniss from Leighton Buzzard, was delighted to hear the news that she had won £2,000 after buying her Superdraw tickets, and including a generous donation in memory of her mum who had ovarian cancer, so that she could give something back to the hospice that helped her.
Mrs Champniss praised the care and support that her mum received from The Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted, as well as providing several courses that Mrs Champniss attended, including learning how to give her mum a foot massage and breathing techniques for calmness. “They were so supportive – always on the end of the line if we needed help or had any questions.” The hospice also provided Mrs Champniss with bereavement support after her mum died.
When asked what she was going to do with her prize winnings, she said, “During the last few months I’ve really missed seeing all my friend and going out. So when all this is over, I would like to go to Croatia – it’s such a beautiful place.”
Starting 29 August, the cost of a lottery entry will increase to £1.50.
This change will introduce more prizes and increase the Rollover prize cap to £25,000. As a result, the current Rollover prize is guaranteed to be won in the draw on 22 August 2025.
This change will help to ensure we continue supporting the vital care that our partner charities provide.
