In 2024, our amazing partner, Michael Sobell House, held its 22nd Golf Day with the support of a dedicated group of volunteers, raising just over £18,000 after expenses for the Inpatient Unit at Michael Sobell House.
This annual event has been running since 2002 and continues to thrive thanks to the tireless efforts of its volunteer organisers, whose commitment and passion make it a true highlight of the year. It is a fantastic example of the local community coming together – from securing sponsorship and donating prizes for the winners, raffle, and auction, to forming teams and taking part on the day.
The 2025 Golf Day will be held on the Thursday 26 June 2025.
We at The Hospice Lottery are proud to support and celebrate the incredible work being done through this event, and we are grateful to everyone involved for their generosity and continued support.

Funds raised over the weekend will go towards supporting the Children’s Ward at Lister Hospital, helping to make a real difference for young patients and their families.
Thanks to last year’s amazing festival-goers, the Riverbank Appeal was successfully completed, and hospitals will soon be installing a new Apple TV projector and interactive sensory gaming unit in a dedicated room on Bluebell Ward, a calming space for children in mental health crisis.
