South Bucks Hospice in High Wycombe provides specialist palliative and end of life care, emphasising a holistic approach looking after the whole person, and their family.
The hospice team cares for 1,000 patients and their families each year, providing all aspects of clinical, emotional, and practical support free of charge to people with advanced cancer and other life-limiting conditions.
The new purpose-built Hospice Centre of Excellence, provides practical assistance as well as vital services including pain and symptom control, Lymphoedema treatment, physio and complementary therapies, counselling, bereavement and spiritual support, plus specialist care for 17-28 year olds.
With a guiding belief in holistic personal care, staff and volunteers consult with patients their families, and carers to form a tailored care plan for every individual, covering everything from their physical needs to emotional support and practical coping mechanisms, enabling optimum quality of life at every stage of illness.
The South Bucks Hospice has to raise over £1.2million every year, with less than 3% of this coming from statutory sources. Your contribution as a Hospice Lottery player forms a vital part of keeping this lifeline going.
Without sustainable fundraising like this, we would not have been able to commit to building our wonderful new hospice, Butterfly House.
